Dr. Hechler specializes in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery. He completed his medical school training at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO in 1991. He continued with his Internship and Residency at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis MO and then completed his Residency in 1996. Dr. Hechler and his family moved to Warrensburg, Missouri directly after finishing his Residency where he opened his own private ENT practice in the summer of 1996. He has continued to serve his community in Warrensburg and the surrounding communities since that time, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for pediatric and adult patients with disorders of the ear, nose and throat, including allergy testing and treatment. Dr. Hechler volunteers overseas with the Kansas City-based Medical Missions Foundation where he donates his time and talent providing surgeries to under-served communities in Romania and Uganda. He enjoys running marathons, hunting and spending time with his children. He is also the director and organizer of an annual Half Marathon/5K/10K whose proceeds are donated to local charity groups in the community. He has been the Medical Director of Cedar Oaks Surgery Center in Warrensburg since 2005. He has also been a past president of the medical staff at Western Missouri Medical Center, a past Chief of Surgery at Western Missouri Medical Center and a past Chairman of Surgery/Anesthesia Department at Western Missouri Medical Center. He is a current member of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, The Missouri Society of Otolaryngology, The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and The American Medical Association. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery.

Jessica has been a practicing audiologist since 2002. She graduated with a Master's degree in Audiology from Wichita State University, home of the Shockers. She joined Ear, Nose, and Throat Plastic Surgery of Warrensburg in August 2002. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, the American Speech and Hearing Association, Lend An Ear Foundation, and the Kansas City Society of Audiology. Jessica performs diagnostic hearing tests for children to older adults. She dispenses hearing aids and notes it is the most rewarding part of her job. Jessica states "My goal is to educate patients about their hearing loss, make appropriate recommendations to improve their hearing, enable them to communicate better with their families, and work with them to achieve the best hearing possible." Jessica is married and has 3 children. She enjoys attending their sporting and school events. She is a ruling elder at her church and has served on session for mission and education action teams.

Nurse Practitioner

Cassie is a board-certified family Nurse Practitioner, and grew up in the Kansas City area. She received her undergraduate degrees from Kansas State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She went on to complete her Masters of Science in nursing degree at Research College of Nursing. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, a member of the Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head-Neck Nurses, and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

Cassie enjoys volunteering with Medical Missions Foundation serving communities in Uganda, Mali, India and Guatemala. She loves traveling and spending time with her husband and pets.

Nurse practitioners have a graduate, advanced education and clinical training beyond their initial professional registered nurse preparation. Nurse Practitioners assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of illness. They are able to order and interpret tests and write prescriptions. Cassie looks forward to treating new patients with acute episodic illnesses and also providing post-operative and follow-up care appointments. She will also be performing various cosmetic skin procedures.
